IRON WORKS MUSIC IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE SECOND PAYOUT FROM THE COMMITMENT!!!
Well Folks, I realize that this is not a lot of money and I'll take responsibility for that. The fact is that since I released FIVE CORNERS, I began to almost immediately start the re-toolage effort that has landed me in the Solar Power Industry, where I have been busy "Liberating the American People from the Tyranny of the Grid". As a consequence, I've hardly done any promotional work for FIVE CORNERS. Still, somehow, people have been able to find their way to me on the Internet and buy the CD, and download tracks, literally all around the World...which thrills me to no end. So here we go...the SECOND payout from "THE COMMITMENT" is $200. This payout was split evenly between the charities designated below. The total amount raised to date is now $310. 50 % of the profits from the sale of FIVE CORNERS will go to charity and non-profit organizations. Forever. No catches, no creative book-keeping, no kidding. Best of all, you can help decide where the money goes. When you purchase a copy of FIVE CORNERS, simply e-mail me at your earliest convenience at petevash@yahoo.com, and tell me which of the designated charities and non-profit 501(c)3 organizations you would like to support. That's it. Below are the basic rules of THE COMMITMENT.
1) All profit calculations will be made on a per CD basis. The only costs removed from the purchase price of the CD (after sales tax) will be it's actual manufacturing unit cost. It will not include any preproduction (recording, equipment, etc) or promotional or business overhead. The price of CD purchases made online have been increased from the direct purchase price to cover the cost of distribution by the various e - retailers carrying FIVE CORNERS.
2) The payout will be done on a yearly basis.
3) The entire process will be completely transparent with all accrued and payout figures posted on this website.
4) Confirmation of donation letters from the receiving organizations will be posted on this website as soon as they are sent into ironworks music.
5) DESIGNATED CHARITIES:
a) New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity http://www.habitat-nola.org
b) Homes for Our Troops, an organization that builds handicapped accessible homes for our troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan http://www.homesforourtroops.org/
6) If a purchaser does not make a designation, their share of the 50% donation will be spread evenly over the designated organizations.
7) Should a purchaser have an idea for an organization that they would like to see added to the list of designated organizations, they are encouraged to submit their suggestion for serious consideration by ironworks music.
8) Ironworks music reserves the right to add to the list of designated charities as it becomes aware of other great folks doing outstanding work in the USA, and around the world.
